Here are Mark’s official Sinulog Photography Contest submissions. This is his first time to join. We should all give him a round of applause. *clap, clap, clap*
Truth be told, it was very brave of him to join at all, considering that he was up against tens of thousands of quality entries from the country’s top pro photographers. In spite of his humble tools (a simple prosumer camera vs. high tech DSLRs, can you imagine?), I think he did an amazing job!
Of course, he didn’t really read the contest guidelines (lingaw lingaw ra kuno iyang tuyo), so his submissions didn’t conform to the strict rule that contestants must get full body shots. Bwahahah. Mark is the portrait king (his strength lies in capturing the sublime nuances of a person’s face), so you won’t be surprised to find out that his Sinulog photos are mostly portrait shots. But they’re beautiful nonetheless. Each one is a study in profound portraiture. Amazing!
I just wonder, however, if his joining the contest was a way to rub elbows with these beautiful ladies. Hmmm.

My favorite Sto. Niño shot of all time:

He looks so beautiful here. So life-like. So serene. Love it!
