The truth is, I don’t remember singing at all but I do remember the incident. Weird. Flores De mayo to… last day sa flores de mayo. Lingaw man kaayo to sa una. You kids miss out a lot. The whole month fo May, we go to catechism and everyday we get a ticket. If you sing or dance in your clase, you get extra ticket. These tickets will be exchanged to something you want at the end of Flores De Mayo… candies, food, toys. I remember having so much fun going from stall to stall exchanging my tickets. The simple pleasure in life.

Now the singing… part of the event is a program. Murag gipakanta ko sa simbahan atubangan sa tanang mga tawo sa Ipil. It’s gotta be the whole of Ipil kay end gud to sa Flores De Mayo. Kani laging kanta ta nga walay microphone, wala ma-anad nga mag-gamit ug mic. Pagkanta nako, nahadlok ko sa mic unya nayabag… yabag gyud kaayo nga nangatawa tanang mga tawo. And i just stopped and cried in front of everyone… And I never sang after that. (Well kanta gamay sa Karaoke.)

but mark is coming up with something new. more happy tunes, less angst this time. basta. abangan. hahahah.

Ate Baby, did you know that your mother sings well too? labaw na in her pre-school days? In our time the hottest teen stars were Shooky and Lizzle. Snooky is the crowd favorite, and she looks like your mom. mwahahaha… You should see her child pictures.

Anyway, there was this incident in her childhood that could have traumatized her, maybe just maybe, and from then on she never stepped on stage nor touched a microphone, despite her fans’ demand. Better ask her her version of the story, then I will tell you our version of the story.

Ate yanyan, have you tried composing badoy songs? stuffs like, “touch my olala, my ding ding dong”,”lubot sa yawa”, “ang tigulang”, etc…?

I know it’s not you, but just for the sake of coming up with variety. I do not like these sort of stuffs too, but they are filling the airwaves for half a decade na, why not try it? just a suggestion, I come in peace I hope you don’t take it negatively. love yah!
