Son of the 7th son’s graduation!

Khalil Andre’, the son of the 7th son, will soon finish elementary school. At age 12 he’s spent 9 solid years inside a classroom, guarded by and under the scrutiny of a teacher. Coming from a father who never experienced a kindergarten school, nine years schooling at such a young age seem unimaginable, let alone the financial burden that comes with it. Thanks to the cheap government school that subsidizes education.
His 9 years in school has never been boring. He never hesitates telling stories and performing in class just to spice up the day and bring the energy level up in serious class discussions. He created a fans club out of his teachers and classmates who seriously listens to him when he talks, cheers for him when he sings or dance, and who consider his farting in class as being true to himself and cute.
He’s fond of overloading himself with school stuff. He’s always loaded with a big backpack, a big drinking water container, a portfolio, a portable chessboard, and an altec lansing sound blaster. In times when they were required to do some projects, he would bring a smaller backpack for it. He never tires bringing things for his group mates for their projects: even sundang, kutsilyo, tadtaran, or kaldero he volunteers to bring for their cooking class.
Khalil has earned his pre-bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurial adventurism selling yemas, puto, cake, mango juice, and old toys. As expected of young businesemen, collection was his main problem. It took awhile before he could turn-over the full amount of his sales. But as soon as he’s able to solve his collection problem, her teacher padlocked his business for environmental violations(plastic wrappers and containers of his products became the number one problem in the classroom since he went into business).
One of their graduation requirements was an investigative report on A Rat Killer formula that they have to design themselves. To make the long story short, their formula worked on a rat that they bought in Shoe Mart. The rat died instantaneously after eating the tablet. However, one hour after it died, the rat resurrected.
With all these warming up, I am sure the son of the 7th son is now ready for the next stage: high school!
His graduation is tomorrow, April 1, 2008 at CNU. Manga-on nya ta sa Toralba, or sa Labangon. Andam mog topic nga estoryahan kay manglibak na sad ta. mwahahaha…
Tats is the 7th son. Bro. Ben, my father, walked miles, visiting prison cells looking for me at the height of the people's uprising against the Marcos Dictatorship in the 80's.
